Once again we have another great evening in store at Fortwilliam Golf Club with the highly reputable after dinner speaker, Maureen Madill, providing fascinating insights into the life of the Professionals on the fairways.

Maureen, from Portstewart in Northern Ireland, had two British Open Amateur titles and fourteen years of International representative golf under her belt when she turned professional in 1986. She competed for twelve years on the Ladies’ European Tour with occasional forays on to the Asian Ladies’ Tour and the Australian LPGA.  Hampered by injury, she then turned her attention to coaching, leading Wales to International success at Junior and Senior level.  However, she is probably now best known as a member of the BBC’s golf commentary team and over the last three years has also worked extensively in the USA commentating on the PGA Tour.  She became an Advanced Fellow of the Professional Golfers’ Association in 2005.
