Course Drainage Project Commences Monday 26 August 24/08/2013

Dear Member,

I am pleased to announce that the drainage project will commence on the 26th of August. The contract has been awarded to Niall Foran from County Offaly.  Mr Foran has been in the drainage and sportsturf development business for many years and has installed drainage at a number of top golf courses including Dromoland Castle GC, Co Clare and Druids Glen GC, Co Wicklow.

The contractor will plan on working Monday through Friday from sun rise to sun set, weather permitting.  The project will begin on the 4th and 5th holes and then continue up the hill through the 6th, 7th, 3rd, 8th and 2nd.   In an effort to assist the progress of the project we will be closing a golf hole while work is being done.  Please look on the notice boards around the clubhouse for the hole closures.

During the drainage project there will be constructions vehicles transporting material through the golf course.  The contactors performing the works are very experienced at working on golf courses and are aware that the course is open for play during their time here. The course maintenance team will be supervising the process and ask that the golfer please be aware of these vehicles on the course and give them plenty of room to carry out their tasks.

I would like to thank those members who have signed up to the membership option to support this very important project.
