I would like to thank our past Ladies Captain Mrs Clare Loughrey for asking me to be her Vice-Captain. Working closely with her over the past year has been a pleasure.

 

The role of Ladies Captain is challenging in so many ways but the new experiences it brings, in all aspects of golf within the Ladies section makes it so worthwhile.  Golf for me is about fun, relaxation, fresh air and friendship. All of which I have experienced within the ladies section.

 

It is an honour to serve as Fortwilliam Ladies Captain for the year 2014.

 

To all our Lady and Junior members, I hope the weather is kind to us this year and we enjoy many happy moments throughout the golfing season.

 

I wish all our teams’ great success. I am aware off the effort and commitment our team players put into their golf, so I know they are and will be formidable opponents.

 

To our team Captains and assistants who take on the task of organising, players, venues, and tee times.  I extend my thanks. Your commitment to our Teams is invaluable.

 

To the Ladies Committee and Officio's constantly working in the background to ensure our twice weekly Competitions take place alongside, the Inter Club Competitions and other ILGU Competitions organised over the season, a huge Thank you.

 

I acknowledge all the time and effort given freely to the Ladies section by these members, without all their combined efforts the role of Ladies Captain would be an impossible task.
