Congratulations go to Ladies' Captain, Alice Kelly and her committee, who ran a fantastically successful "Bridge Afternoon and Tea" in Fortwilliam Golf Club on Monday 19th May 2014!

At 1.30 pm on Monday afternoon bridge players, from all over Belfast, gathered in Fortwilliam bar/ lounge area, which was buzzing with anticipation and excitement!

After 2 hours of intense concentration the players were finally able to relax over a delicious Afternoon Tea (Merchant Hotel watch your back!) most efficiently served by a great team of Fortwilliam Ladies. As the players waited for the results of their afternoon's labour to be announced by the organiser, Eileen Curran, players generously bought ballot tickets for the copious number of donated prizes.

In all nearly £1,300 was raised and will go to Ladies' Captain's chosen charity, The Samaritans.
