Membership Proposals 12/03/2018

AGM Motions

At the Club’s recent AGM a number of motions concerning membership were passed.

The rules governing Country Membership and Student Membership were simplified, making it easier for men and women entitled to these memberships to join the Club.

New classes of membership were also adopted, namely Family Membership and ‘365’ Lifestyle Membership. This latter membership involves purchasing a golf package with a limited number of rounds, and is very suitable for those men and women who lead a busy lifestyle with little time in which to play golf. This membership is also suitable for those people who only wish to play golf occasionally, or to newcomers to golf who want to ‘dip their toe in the water’, before fully committing to the sport.

Full details of these changes can be obtained by contacting the Club office, the Pro shop or the Membership Convenor, Stephen Boswell, on 07840695665.

The AGM also passed a motion on changing the Club’s subscription year from January to December to April to March. The membership voted in principle to adopt this change subject to Council obtaining agreement from financial partners such as the Club’s bank. It was also agreed that an EGM would be necessary later this year to adopt an approved method of transition payment for the period January 2019 to April 2020, so as not to cause any financial hardship.
