FORTWILLIAM GOLF CLUB, NORTH BELFAST

Fortwilliam Golf Club is located off the Antrim Road at Downview Avenue in the suburbs of North Belfast. It is situated in an area of natural beauty offering stunning views of a tranquil Cavehill to the north-west and the busy Belfast Lough to the east.

Although not a long course, it provides a good test of golf as most holes have narrow tree-lined fairways and difficult-to-read greens. It measures over 6000 yards, Par 70. The clubhouse has excellent bar and restaurant facilities with a vibrant social life.

There is a late bar (to 12.30am) and entertainment every Saturday evening throughout the year (click on the Golf and Social Calendar link at the bottom of this page for details of the entertainment programme)

DRESS CODE

The Club operates a relaxed dress code with smart casual wear acceptable in the Clubhouse on the vast majority of occasions including evening dining in the Restaurant. Jeans may be worn but these should not be torn/ripped or hipster style.

Gents are requested not to wear collarless or sleeveless shirts. Football shirts or those with any lettering other than golf logos are not permitted.

Our rules in the matter of dress code are designed to avoid giving offence to any of our members and everyone feels more comfortable when members, guests and visitors alike adhere to them.

If you are in doubt about what is acceptable dress on any occasion please contact us beforehand for clarification so that any embarrassment can be avoided.
